Ferromatik Milacron India (FMI) is committed to deliver best technology and products to its customers. We believe in providing best Plastics Processing Machines and solutions to customers to enable them to match latest technology and needs of the industry. 

Plastindia 2015 was one such platform to interact with all stakeholders representing Plastics industry. FMI has demonstrated 5 different machines from 3 different technologies in one of the largest booth sized,  700 Sq. mtr.

Innovative Systems and Machines demonstrated during Plastindia 2015:

Special PET Injection Moulding Machine: Milacron has launched a new High Speed Preform System with Post Cooling arrangement. This Special feature of the System, Post cooling results into reduction of cycle time. Unlike Preform Free Fall arrangement, the robot attached to the system enhances the quality of the perform manufacturing.

Reciprocating Blow Moulding Machine (UR 70): A new launch for Indian markets by Milacron for bottle productions. Ideal packaging solution for Dairy products like Milk, with reduced weight of the bottles and higher production rate per hour.

Extrusion System- Conical Twin Screw (TC 80): To cater the needs of manufacturing of Pipes and Profiles, Milacron has introduced Extrusion system based on Twin Screw Technology.

PCO1881 cap production system (MT Accupack 150): Hydraulic Toggle Machine MT Accupack 150 for production of caps. Accumulator provisioning with the machine enhances the overall production time.

IML - TWIN Round Container Production System (EE 200): In-mould Label with Thin Wall Injection Moulding system with All Electric Machine Elektron 200 to produce round containers. Energy efficient machine with reduced cycle time provide better alternatives for food packaging.

Ferromatik Milacron is a reliable brand in Plastic Injection and Blow Moulding machineries, and it has captured major share for these two products in the Indian market.  Please brief us the important achievements of Ferromatik Milacron in the recent years. As a technology leader what future trends are on Ferromatik Milacron's radar?

Most Recent innovations are targeted towards Energy saving, Higher productivity, Product consistency & Machine reliability with Low operating costs. Keeping these points Ferromatik Milacron India offers Servo driven, High Quality Injection Molding Machine at equitable price.  Recently major developments are on All Electric, Servo driven machines for energy saving with higher productivity & in Two platen machines for additionally huge saving in floor space by reducing the machine footprint. For new entrant with specific application requirement our new energy efficient Nova Servo cost effective solutions are also available.

The existing Injection Molding Machine configuration caters to various applications like PVC Line Servo, CPVC Line Servo, PET Series, Bubble Top PET Preform and Two Colour Injection and many more.

For the future, we are ready with Conical Twin Screw Extrusion System. This machine was on display in Plastindia and recently a live demonstration of the system was done in Ahmedabad through Extrusion Open House to show the capabilities in cPVC pipe manufacturing.

The Extrusion Line is under production and has delivered peak performance on ¾” and 1” SDR 11 CPVC Pipes manufactured according to ASTM Standards. The peak Output achieved is in the range of 295 -300 kgs/ hr and 345-350 Kgs/hr for Pipe size ¾” and 1” respectively.

The selection of an automation technology, especially for cutting edge automation & control systems in plastic injection moulding and blow moulding is critical, what do you expect from automation & controls manufacturers?

Automation service providers should work to achieve objectives of reliability, speed and zero downtime with periodic check-ups and inspections at regular intervals. At all levels during the life of automation systems the services offered at each stage/level should be proactive, financially viable and user friendly.

Ferromatik Milacron India has a capacity to produce about 2,000 machines per year.   Now looking at the name and fame, what is the growth rate you expect year-over-year in India? Do you have plans to increase the production capacity with new manufacturing plants?

With a recent investment of $ 20 Million, Ferromatik Milacron India has expanded its foot print to 65000 Sq. Mtr. With this expansion, FMI has increased its manufacturing capacity from 1500 machines to 2100 machines per annum.

The growth of the infrastructure and construction market in India is a major reason for the expansion and introduction of Extrusion Line and the company wants to expand its market share aggressively.

 

In India and China, you are fast expanding your manufacturing activities. Milacron USA has many other products with Mould Technologies, Fluid Technologies, etc. Do you have any plan to manufacture some of those products here in response to Modi-led Government's call to “Make in India”

Ferromatik Milacron India is actively engaged in manufacturing of Plastics Processing Machineries in India and is practicing “Make In India” since its inception in 1995. FMI is into production of Injection Molding, Blow Molding and Extrusion Lines to serve entire gamut of plastics application. The company is exporting to African countries, USA and Middle East countries and has recently expanded to export to Latin American and European Countries as well. This we feel is the real contribution towards “Make In India” serving to global markets.
