Linear actuators meet tough hygienic requirements

Turnkey drives from Kollmorgen shut the door on germs

New electrical linear actuators increase design freedom for hygienic machinery

For precise linear motion in environments with stringent hygienic requirements, Kollmorgen combines its stainless steel servo motors from the AKMH series with stainless steel actuators. These turnkey drives with IP69K intrusion rating provide the thrust density and overload capability needed for lifting and shaping applications in the packaging, food and pharmaceutical industries. They cover the feed thrust range from 0.89 to 20 kN in four package sizes, with a feed rate of 1 m/s. Kollmorgen is unveiling this innovation at the SPS IPC Drives trade show in Nuremberg at Stand 230 in Hall 3a.

Brushless Servo Motors, high energy - MDM-5000

At ITT Torque Systems, we have always believed in giving you more choices. After all, your application is unique, so the AC brushless servo motor you choose for it should be unique too. While the competition stacks their shelves with servo motors and hardware, we pack ours with engineered solutions.

The truth is, our shelf contains just about any type of solution you could require, from simple integration components such as brakes, encoders and tachometers, to elaborate breakthrough designs in servo motor technology.

Ethernet servo motor drives, high-torque boost the performance and economy of motion control systems

ABB has enhanced its ranges of servomotor drives for the Ethernet-based motion control systems market with variants that can substantially increase the speed of machinery and automation systems while also reducing bill-of-materials costs.

ABB's MicroFlex servomotor drives for Ethernet-based motion control systems can deliver peak current levels of three times continuous rated current, and sustain that peak for up to three seconds.

KOLLMORGEN presents a new machine design

Tomorrow’s technology must become simpler PackPlus India:

Solutions that really dispense with everything that is not absolutely necessary – this is what is meant when KOLLMORGEN talks about Simple Machine Design. The experts in servo drive technology and motion control will show at PackPlus South (India) why this new simplicity shines directly on the real spirit of the times for machinery and plant engineering. KOLLMORGEN will prove this statement from 17 to 20 September 2014 during the largest packaging fair, in Hyderabad, Southern India.

Servo controllers of Kollmorgen

Motion control specialist Kollmorgen has extended the maximum output current of the AKD series of servo amplifiers to open up new areas of application. The new devices have a continuous output current rating of 48 A, compared to a 24 A maximum in the past.
